Ukrainian as a Foreign Language

To join Ukrainian as a foreign language course as a Free-mover Student, please fill out a Free-mover’s Application Form and submit the documents to your NaUKMA application folder (after completed a Free-mover’s Application Form, International Students’ Coordinator will send you a link to access a personal application folder in order to upload required documents)

The application package includes:
  • a scanned copy of passport
  • a filled and signed data consent form
  • a document to confirm your previous education (school certificate and transcript / bachelor diploma and transcript / master diploma and transcript / current university transcript)
  • a motivation letter.
Ukrainian as a Foreign Language is a tuition-based course for Free-movers participating in NaUKMA courses with English and/or Ukrainian language of instruction, Research Students, and Free-movers attempting to master their Ukrainian language for prospective degree-studies and employment.

If you arrive to NaUKMA as Erasmus+/Mobile Student or Exchange Student, your mobility program covers participation ONLY in Ukrainian as a Foreign Language Course for Exchange Students (3 credits, 108 academic hours). In case we have a group for Ukrainian as a Foreign Language Beginner Plus Course (4,5 credits, 162 academic hours), you can join it for free after checking the course availability with Incoming Students’ Coordinator. If you have previous knowledge of Ukrainian language and would like to master your language skills during the mobility, you are welcome to apply for tuition-based Intermediate, Advanced, and Intensive Courses.

Ukrainian as a Foreign Language lesson has 80 minutes (2 academic hours). The courses exist in two formats: a group and an individual course. The fee for Ukrainian as a Foreign Language course depends on number of ECTS credits for respective course and a group/individual format.

1 credit in group costs 1880 UAH, 1 credit in individual course costs 2980 UAH.
