04.09.09 | The Lord Mayor of the City of London visits NaUKMA on September 4, 2009
The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Ian Luder, is visiting Kyiv on 3 and 4 September 2009. He will be accompanied by a small business delegation representing some of the major UK firms based in the City of London.

During his visit, the Lord Mayor is keen to hear about the business climate in Ukraine and learn about the experiences of UK and international companies active in Ukraine. As such, the Lord Mayor will deliver a speech on the “Globalisation of Financial Services” at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy on 4 September 2009 at 17:00. The speech will be followed by Question and Answer session for the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy students, Kyiv-Mohyla Business School and Chevening alumni (language of the event is English), and an evening business reception (18:00 – 20:00) sponsored by Ernst & Young for these and other guests including Ukrainian government and business representatives as well as members of the Lord Mayor’s business delegation.
The overall purpose of the Lord Mayor’s visit is to discuss a broad range of issues, focusing on developing contacts between the City of London and Ukraine, the importance of banking sector reform, fiscal policy regulation in the global context, and the provision of financial services products for government and local administrations.

The event will take place at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Kontraktova square, Old Academic Building, Congregation Hall).
