DECLARATION OF THE STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF “KYIV-MOHYLA ACADEMY”

The power has crossed the line.
It turned the elections of the President of Ukraine into the show of cynicism and lawlessness.
All three months of the election campaign were accompanied by the enormous pressure of state machine on the Ukrainian citizens and their rights.
The power is afraid of Ukrainian people. This is the reason why the power has declared war on everybody of us. During this war it is ready to use all the possible methods, including the audacious crimes.
The power is used to steal. Now it is going to steal our right on a democratic choice. Using the discrepancies and falsifications, the power imposes the scenario of the criminal oligarchy preservation.
We protest against the break of the law and the unlawful actions.
We are willing to live in a democratic and prosperous Ukraine, with no attempts of its artificial geographic, social, or linguistic stratification.
We will not tolerate, and we will not allow the power to falsify the election results.
Therefore, we the students, faculty and staff members of the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” declare that we join the all-Ukrainian movement of protest against the attempts of the power to steal the Ukrainian people’s victory of November 21.
The National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” announces a political strike.
Our demands are the following:
- Reconsideration of the results of the Presidential elections in the electoral districts where the voting was conducted with violations of the Law of Ukraine “On Elections of the President of Ukraine”
- Resignation of Head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk, Vice Premier Dmytro Tabachnyk, Minister of Education Vasyl Kremin, and Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Bilokon
- Prosecution of those involved in falsifications of the elections
- Readmission of the students expelled from the universities and other educational institution of Ukrainian for political reasons
We urge the faculty members and students of other educational institutions of Ukraine to join us in our efforts.
