Thirty NaUKMA faculty members and PhD students are invited to join the online NaUKMA-UofGlasgow Summer Academy 2023 «Research Communication» on July 26 - August 3, 2023
Summer Academy is a part of the strategic cooperation between NaUKMA and University of Glasgow and UK-Ukraine R&I twinning grants scheme “Kyiv and Glasgow Twinning for Impact: strengthening research capacity through strategic partnership”, implemented by NaUKMA and University of Glasgow, Scotland, the UK. Summer Academy is organized for sixty researchers and PhD students from NaUKMA and University of Glasgow, thirty participants from each institution.
NaUKMA-UofG Summer Academy will guide participants through one of three themes:
- You and Your Ideas
- Making your Ideas Happen and
- Engaging people with your Research
through active and practical learning opportunities and engagement with complementary asynchronous materials.
The Academy will provide opportunities to develop the foundations of a strong funding application and take up comprehensive training on the skills that underpin the successful communication and dissemination of research such as:
• How to clearly articulate expertise and strengths to specific funders and a range of audiences
• How to identify appropriate funders
• How to write a strong application, and how to tailor application to specific funders
• How to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams across institutions
• How to engage others in your research activities to strengthen applications
• How to disseminate research to both maximise impact and create a strong foundation for further work.

Summer Academy sessions will take place on Tuesday 25 July, Wednesday 26 July, Thursday 27 July, Tuesday 01 August, Wednesday 02 August, and Thursday 03 August from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (with a break from 12 to 2 pm). Participants are are strongly requested to stay through all duration of the Academy, attendance of just one random session is not possible. At the end of the course, those who have completed all the tasks and attended at least 50 per cent of the sessions each week will receive a certificate (УВАГА!!! Може бути використаний для підтвердження підвищення кваліфікації тощо).
Format of the school - online, synchronous and asynchronous.
Language of instruction - English (working level, speaking and writing).
Academy is open for the NaUKMA permanent and part-time (сумісники) faculty members, researchers, advanced PhD students.
NaUKMA faculty members / researchers, interested in attendance, should fill in the application form by 6 July at the latest.

1615 - Kyiv-Mohyla brotherhood school, later turned into Collegium, was founded
