CIVICA Doctoral Conference 2023, Central European University, Vienna, 15-17 November 2023 - шукаємо аспіранітв НаУКМА до участі
В межах викоання проекту CIVICA for Ukraine (який координує SGH Warsaw School of Economics і фінансує NAWA) і інтеграції НаУКМА до альянсу європейських університетів CIVICA, шукаємо шукаємо 2 (двох) аспірантів СТАРШИХ РОКІВ НАВЧАННЯ НаУКМА до участі у CIVICA Doctoral Conference 2023, якиа відбудеться у Central European University, Відень, 15-17 листопада 2023
The conference offers PhD researchers from the ten CIVICA member universities and selected Ukrainian universities (including the NaUKMA) the opportunity to prepare themselves for the academic job market. It will involve feedback sessions and hands-on academic practice training workshops for PhD researchers from any discipline who seek an academic career.
The conference will include sessions and workshops on the following topics, among others:
- How to write a powerful cover letter
- How to develop an effective research proposal for postdoc applications
- How to give a persuasive presentation on your research in a job talk
- How to do job interviews
All sessions and workshops will be run by experts and faculty members from the CIVICA partner institutions. The participants will have the chance to meet each other informally and to develop intra-CIVICA friendships in the beautiful setting of Vienna
Фінансові умови участі для аспірантів НаУКМА:
- all the costs covered by SGH Warsaw School of Economics as coordinator of CIVICA for Ukraine NAWA funded project
- travel costs covered: 3000 PLN as a lump sum
- reimbursement in cash before the meeting or after (to the bank account) - tbc
- accommodation and meals will be provided by SGH and CEU under NAWA funding – 4 nights will be covered (14th Nov arrival – 18th Nov departure)
- PhDs will have to arrange travel by their own
Local transportation tickets by participants
Agreement for travel reimbursement to be signed before (in October)
Зацікавлених кандидатів серед аспірантів старших років навчання НаУКМА просимо надслати:
- CV – including the name of your PhD degree programme (for example, “PhD in Political Science”) and your area of research (for example, “migration policy”)
- A single-spaced 1-to-2-page presentation/description of your research for a fictional application to a postdoctoral position
