15.02.05 | Ignatz Bubis Memorial Scholarship Fund grants scholarships for students who study in MA and PhD programs and who wish to pursue Jewish Studies, preceded by/combined with Hebrew language studies, at Tel Aviv University.

EVZ Scholarships for Middle and East European Students

Academic year 2005 - 2006

The students will study at Tel Aviv University as students with special status. They will choose their subjects individually.

Hebrew is the language of instruction at Tel Aviv University. Students without or with little Hebrew knowledge will attend the intensive Hebrew courses offered by Tel Aviv Universitys Lowy School for Overseas Students prior to the academic year or prior to the summer semester (ideally prior to the academic year) and continue with advanced Hebrew courses during the academic year.

Topics of Research
The study/research of applicants may refer to any topic in the field of Judaism, Jewish History, Jewish Culture and Israeli Studies.

The following are the main programs/departments in Jewish Studies at Tel Aviv University:
• Biblical Studies
• Talmud
• History of the Jewish People
• Jewish Philosophy
• Hebrew and Semitic Languages
• Hebrew Literature
• Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Civilizations
• The MA Integrative Program in Jewish Studies

Value of the individual scholarships
One year PhD fellowship Euro 12.500 + travel expenses + Hebrew course
One year MA scholarship Euro 7.500 + travel expenses + Hebrew course

1615 - Kyiv-Mohyla brotherhood school, later turned into Collegium, was founded

2012 - NaUKMA is a classical university with six faculties (Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Economics, Computer Sciences, Natural Sciences). During the twenty years since its re-establishment, Academy has initiated reforms in higher education, was the first university in Ukraine to introduce the bachelor, master and PhD programs, a curriculum in Liberal Arts Education, and a system of entrance tests
